Sasha is a store in Kolkata that is similar to Aarong in Bangladesh. It promotes fair trade in country and is doing pretty well. The store also provides help with marketing and design it many small groups in the area. There were some pretty impressive pieces of art here....this is also where was get the ever popular strings of animals. After visiting Sasha, Ed and Twila Miller, country reps. for MCC, took us for kebabs at a restaurant near the big market and a walk through the market on our way to the Victoria Memorial. At dark, we attended a Sound and Light show there which gave a history of Kolkata. Then it was back to the wonderful comfort of the MCC guesthouse and a nearby hotel.
